Update: Syracuse Fire Chief Michael Monds says two women died in regards in the fire. Two other people are in the hospital but their conditions are not known at this time.
Syracuse, N.Y. - One person is dead after an early morning house fire.
Smoke from house fire at 119 Olive Street in Syracuse could be seen for miles. When multiple crews arrived around 8:30, they found flames shooting from the 2 story 2 family home.
The fire spread to an adjacent home as well.
One person was rushed form the home and had been declared dead.
Syracuse Police continue to investigate and are asking people to avoid the area.
