Pizza Shop Employee Stabbed In The Head Confronting Thief

Syracuse, N.Y. - Wednesday night around 5:30 Syracuse police say 20 year old Zavon Johnson entered the Casa Mia Pizza shop on South Salina Street grabbed some pizzas and ran.

He was chased by some store employees. The chase ended at Dablon Court, where Johnson got into a fight with the employees and began chasing them away, and in the process Johnson stabbed a 56 year old employee in the head.

The victim was able to get away from Johnson and return to the pizza shop.

Johnson was later arrested charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny.

The victim is expected to be ok.
