UPDATE: Authorities say the man who had barricaded himself inside the home has now surrendered and is in custody.
North Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriff’s are on the scene in the area of Rockland Drive, near Taft road near the old Hinerwadels, for a man whose barricaded himself inside a home.
It started this morning around 7:30 when the man starting making verbal threats to neighbors and threaten to shoot them. A reverse 911 call was placed to all residences in the area to stay inside. There is no immediate threat to the public and Deputies remain on scene. The public is asked to stay away from the area.
