Syracuse, N.Y. - A former Cicero teacher who shot and killed his brother-in-law has pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter.
James Ball was facing a murder and a manslaughter charge, but took a plea deal for the one lesser manslaughter charge.
It all stemmed from the July 4th, 2017 incident where Ball got into a physical fight with Christopher Ross.
Ball claims he was acting in self defense when he grabbed his 22 rifle loaded it and shot and killed Ross.
Ball could face a 3 to 9 years in state prison or possibly just probation.
