The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has approved revisions to its amateur rule allowing students to benefit from their NIL under specific conditions.
An athlete still forfeits amateur status, and athletes cannot appear in the uniform of the student’s school or utilize the marks, or logos of the school, section, or State Public High School Athletic Association as part of any endorsement.
