Syracuse, N.Y. - The man who shot and killed a Syracuse teen in the deadly RYE day shooting was sentenced today.
Devar Williams pled guilty to firing the bullet that killed 17 year old Chariel Osorio during a shootout between rival street gangs.
The incident happened during a street party in June of 2020.
Williams pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter and illegal weapons possession.
He could spend up to 21 years in prison.
