Syracuse City School District To Modify Start And Dismissal Times

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse City School district has announced that they will modify their start and dismissal times beginning October 25th.

The reason is a shortage of bus drivers. According to a statement released the district, transportation provider First Student has been unable to provide enough drivers since the start of the school year and the district has decided that altering the start and dismissal times may help with this situation.

Parents will be receiving information form the district explaining further.

Below is a list of the changes to the schedule expected to go into effect October 25th.

Frazer PreK-8 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Elem/MS)

Huntington K-8 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Elem/MS)

Roberts PreK-8 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Elem/MS)

HW Smith PreK-8 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Elem/MS)

Brighton Academy 7:45 am – 2:00 pm

Clary Middle School 7:45 am – 2:00 pm

Expeditionary Learning (ELMS) 7:45 am – 2:00 pm

Grant Middle School 7:45 am – 2:00 pm

Lincoln Middle School 7:45 am – 2:00 pm

STEM @ Blodgett 7:45 am – 2:00 pm

STEAM @ Dr. King 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Franklin 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Syracuse Latin PreK-8 8:00 am – 2:00 pm (Elem/MS)

Ed Smith K-8 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Elem/MS)
