UPDATE: Police have identified the shooter as 30 year old, Brandi R. Baida.
Auburn, N.Y. - One woman is dead after a shootout with police in Auburn
When police responded to Wheeler Street for complaints of shots fired they were confronted by a person shooting at them from inside a home.
Officers returned fire and a standoff began. After additional officers arrived police were able to enter the home and they found the woman dead.
The State Attorney General's Office is investigating .
