Salina, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputies are naming the man that sent himself to the hospital following a crash Monday night.
Deputies say that just before 10:00 p.m. Melvin Epes crossed the center line while driving on Seventh North Street and drove into the bridge support for the CSX railroad bridge near Hiawatha Blvd. Epes needed to be recused from his car and rushed to the hospital. His injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Epes was ticketed for not only the crash but for driving without a license.
