Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is urging families across the state to make sure they're signed up for Child Tax Credit benefits.
Starting July 15th, families with children between the ages of six and 17 years old will get monthly payments of up to 250 bucks with that total increasing to 300 dollars for families who have kids under the age of six. People who filed tax returns in 2019 and 2020 will receive the benefit automatically.
