Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse original is to be recognized with a historic marker.
Salt Potatoes will be honored with what will be the nation's first food-themed historic marker.
The marker is the work of the Onondaga Historical Association through "Hungry for History", a grant program created by the Pomeroy Foundation.
"Hungry for History" is designed to help communities across the country, spotlight their local and regional foods.
