New changes to the state's absentee ballot laws could go into effect if the Governor signs off on a series of new bills.
The state Senate passed legislation Wednesday that would require elections workers to start counting absentee ballots earlier. Another bill passed by the legislature would also allow NYers to track the status of their ballot online.
