Members of the Syracuse Teachers Association are mourning the loss of their president.
53-year-old Bill Scott passed away over the weekend. He served as the President of the STA since July of 2019. He helped guide 4000 union members through the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to serving as a social worker in the Syracuse City School District. Scott leaves behind his wife, Carolyn, and their four children.
