Walden, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo was at a hard cider producer, Angry Orchard's, today. He made a couple of annoucnements.
Cuomo said that New York will begin mobile vaccination sites at farms all across New York, to vaccinate agricultural workers.
This has been a major issue for the Farm Bureau in New York. Back during the winter of 2020 they were asking the Governor, to consider farm workers essential for the purpose of allowing them to get vaccinated.
Cuomo also announced that New York will be spending an additional $50 million for the Nourish NY program. That program, started during the pandemic, is meant to feed hungry people who are having trouble due to the economic impact of COVID-19.
