A CNY basketball legend died over the weekend at the age of 74.
Jimmy Collins played for Corcoran High School before heading to New Mexico State. He led his college team to a Final Four game in 1970, after which he was drafted to the Chicago Bulls. Collins later became the head coach at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he led the team to their first NCAA Tournament bid in 1998.
