Oriskany, N.Y. - A Utica Man has been charged with damaging multiple Emergency Communication and Cellular Towers.
38 year old Nathaniel Sergio is charged with damaging cell towers in Onedia and Herkimer counties. Oneida County Sheriffs say they had been receiving reports of damage when they finally caught, Sergio after he climbed a fence and attempted to shut off the power to the tower. He was able to escape but police were able to identify him.
Many police agencies are filing charges as the towers he damaged were very capable of causing significant danger to both first responders and those in need of help.
