Gov Cuomo Talks Of Vaccine, Hotspots and Enforcement

Albany, N.Y. - Once again Governor Cuomo touched on several subjects today in his press briefing.

Cuomo said, in his role as chairman of National Governors Association, sent a letter to President Trump seeking a meeting over how vaccines would be distributed. He said it's time to think ahead. Cuomo said " We're dealing with the fall, the next step is "going to be dealing with a vaccine." Cuomo asked how do we administer 20 million vaccines in the state of New York?

The letter can be found here.

Cuomo says it's too early to tell if the state's COVID-19 cluster plan is working, and when restrictions might be lifted. He expressed frustration with local leaders within hot-spot areas of New York City and the mid-Hudson, saying it's a state-level decision, and any other feedback causes confusion.

The number of New Yorkers hospitalized for Covid-19 decreased between Tuesday and Wednesday. There are now 897 people hospitalized.

Out of the 133 thousand tests processed statewide the infection rate was 1.09%, but in the red zones, the positivity is 4.84%.
