Rochester Mayor Facing Felony Campaign Finance Charges

Rochester, N.Y. - The Mayor of Rochester -- who is embroiled in a Police Brutality coverup controversy -- is now being criminally charged with campaign finance violations.

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren will be arraigned on two felonies on Monday. The first charge is for a scheme to defraud in the first degree; the second is an election law offense for illegally coordinating activities and expenditures.

Warren is unlikely to be incarcerated, if she is convicted, despite the maximum sentence being 16 months to four years in prison. Warren would also be removed from office under state law. Her pension could be forfeited if the matter is determined to be a crime related to public office, and she also could lose her law license.
