UPDATE 4:18 p.m. 10/2/2020 - FAA investigators are on their way to a deadly plane crash in Western New York that reportedly killed a well-known lawyer.
The Genesee County Sheriff says two people were on board plane that crashed in Corfu. He says that there were no survivors. The plane was on the way back to Buffalo -- after traveling to New Hampshire.
The plane is registered to the same address as the Cellino & Barnes law firm. Lawyer Steve Barnes is a registered pilot. Sources are telling reporters in Buffalo that he and another woman were killed.
The Genesee County Sheriff says he will share more information tonight.

The Genesee County Sheriff is telling reporters gathered near the scene of a plane crash in a wooded area near the Genesee County Village of Corfu that one man and one woman were onboard and were killed in the crash. Sources tell our Bob Lonsberry the plane is registered to lawyer Steve Barnes -- from Cellino and Barnes. Barnes is a registered pilot.
The plane was returning to Buffalo after heading to New Hampshire.
The Genesee County Sheriff says he will share more information tonight.

Corfu, N.Y. - FAA investigators are on their way to Western New York following a plan crash this afternoon.
State Emergency Management Officials say that the plan crashed in a wooded area near the Genesee County Village of Corfu. A Mercy Flight Helicopter was sent to the crash scene. It is unknown how many people were on board.
Sources tell our Bob Lonsberry the plane is registered to lawyer Stephen Barnes -- from Cellino and Barnes -- and was heading to New Hampshire. First Responders also tell Lonbserry that multiple people are dead.
The Genesee County Sheriff says he will share more information tonight.
