Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon is set to speak before the county legislature today- with layoffs and cuts expected across the board.
McMahon says that the county needs $40 million to close the budget gap through 2021. There are currently 460 positions that are being held- and McMahon hasn't disclosed where some of those cuts will take place.
He says if help doesn't come soon, the county will experience budget shortfalls for the next three years.
