Onondaga, N.Y. - An Onondaga County custody deputy is suspended without pay after being arrested for DWI.
According to officials, 38-year-old Melvin DeJesus Junior wasn't on duty when he was involved in a two-car crash on Velasko Road, along Bellevue Country Club, Tuesday night. An investigation revealed DeJesus was under the influence of alcohol.
The driver of the other vehicle and DeJesus' passenger suffered minor injuries.
