The State Department of Environmental Conservation is adding a new online safety course for bowhunters.
A DEC spokesperson says that the new course comes after the success of its fully online-only hunting safety course. The bowhunter course will be available beginning in July and will remain open through August 21st. The courses are mandatory in obtaining a hunting license across NY State. Both online courses are available to any NY State resident ages 11 and up.
