Utica, N.Y. - A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition after an apparent homicide in East Utica:
Officers responded to a shots fired call yesterday afternoon on Blandina Street. They found the deceased woman and a male with a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The man was transported to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Neither the victim nor the man have been identified. Police are continuing to investigate.
