Gov. Cuomo: No Deal Reached With President Trump Following Meeting

Washington, DC - Governor Cuomo says a deal hasn't been reached with President Trump on lifting a ban preventing New Yorkers from enrolling in secure-traveler programs.

The federal travel programs allow those enrolled to move more quickly though airport checkpoints and border crossings.

The pair met at the White House yesterday to discuss the change, which the Department of Homeland Security says was made in reaction to the state's Green Light Law. The legislation allows undocumented immigrants to apply for driver's licenses but doesn't give federal officials access to state DMV records.

The governor says New York is willing to provide that information, but only if it involves folks applying to Trusted Traveler programs like Global Entry.
