Albany, N.Y. - The flu virus is continuing to spread across New York and the number of confirmed cases of the virus is rising.
According to the Department of Health, over 11-thousand people battled the illness during the week ending January 11th. That's a 10-percent increase from the week before. One bit of good news is the number of patients hospitalized by the flu was down 11-percent.
Doctors are still urging anyone who hasn't received their flu shot to do so immediately.
