Syracuse, N.Y. - One to five people are believed to be responsible for 12 instances of racist or prejudiced graffiti that appeared on or around Syracuse University’s campus in the last two weeks. Thats what SU Chancellor Kent Syverud revealed today during very emotional remarks to the University Senate.
Syverud called the recent acts unacceptable and pledged a prompt and thorough response from the university administration. Syverud said four students were enrolled at SU, have been found to have been involved in the harassment of an African Amercian Woman, and have been removed from classes and the campus.
Officials are holding a forum at 7 p.m. to discuss students’ demands in response to recent incidents.
