New York State Taking International Joint Commission To Court

Rochester, N.Y. - New York State is taking the International Joint Commission to court.

State officials claim the agency didn't do enough to regulate water levels on Lake Ontario this year. As a result, folks living along the shoreline had to deal with severe flooding that caused extensive damage. The lawsuit is asking for compensation for cleanup after the waters receded.

As a reminder, those affected by flooding can still apply for financial assistance through the Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River Flood Relief and Recovery program until October 31st.
