Syracuse, N.Y. - There has been a rash of incidents where victims are meeting potential buyers in the City of Syracuse and when the buyer takes the dirt bike or ATV for a test drive they don't come back.
Police have a number of suggestions to protect yourself. One being fully identifying the person who want to buy your item. Best way to do that is requesting a form of photo ID, driver’s license, ID Card, passport, and holding onto that form of identification until the person returns from the test drive.
