Aerial Spraying Tonight Around Toad Harbor Swamp, If Weather Holds

West Monroe, N.Y. - Oswego County officials will try again tonight to spray around Toad Harbor Swamp.

The hope had been to spray Friday night but the weather hasn't cooperated with County Health Officials. The spraying is needed to tamp down the mosquito population in Hastings, West Monroe and Constantia infected with Eastern equine encephalitis.

Horse Dies From Triple E In West Monroe

Test have confirmed that a horse in the town of West Monroe has died from Eastern equine encephalitis or the Triple E virus according to the Oswego County Health Department

A horse infected with Triple-E in West Monroe died last week.

Spraying is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. Spraying can last as long as four hours.
