Nedrow, N.Y. - The driver of a tractor-trailer driver is being ticketed for causing the accident that backed up Northbound I-81.
Onondaga County deputies say 34-year-old Frederick Wong, of South Carolina, was driving near the Nedrow and Onondaga Nation exit yesterday when he sideswiped another tractor-trailer. The impact caused the second tractor-trailer to rear-end a cargo-box truck.
Both of those vehicles had stopped due to an unrelated crash.
Wong ended up getting trapped in the cab of his tractor-trailer and was treated for minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
