Syracuse, N.Y. - Parking in Syracuse could soon cost drivers more of their hard-earned money.
The Common Council is expected to approve a measure Monday raising the hourly rates from $1.25 an hour to $2.00 an hour.
The head of the finance committee says the hike will help provide extra revenue to the city.
In Syracuse, people have to pay to park from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. If approved, the change will take effect later this year.
