Dewitt, N.Y. - A judge has granted the owners of ShoppingTown Mall a one-month extension to pay back more than $9 milliondollars in overdue property taxes.
Moonbeam LLC was given 14 days to pay back the taxes, which ended Wednesday. But they appealed to the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division and the court granted the extension today.
ShoppingTown has until June 24 to pay back the taxes or face foreclosure.
Lawyers for the owners have also filed an appeal to the judge's order requiring them to pay the money.
