Corning, N.Y. - A State Trooper is recovering after being struck by a tractor-trailer driven by a wanted man.
It happened yesterday on State Route 86 in Corning. Investigators say Trooper Jacob Wackowski was at the scene of a crash when he was sideswiped by the tractor-trailer. He was taken to the hospital but will be OK.
The driver of the tractor trailer, 53-year-old Troy English, was issued tickets but was also wanted. He had multiple warrants issued for him, including identity theft in North Carolina and violation of a court order for failure to pay a fine in Pennsylvania.
English is being held behind bars on $1,000 bail.
