New Hartford, N.Y. - A fox has tested positive for rabies in the Town New Hartford.
According to New Hartford Police one resident was bitten by the fox walking along a roadway in town, and a second resident was approached by the fox and bitten as they exited a vehicle at their home.
Police responded and the fox was killed.
It was tested and was positive for rabies.
The two victims have started the treatment process.
