Boeheim Crash Investigation Entering Final Stages

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Onondaga County DA says he considers the investigation into a deadly accident involving Jim Boeheim closed.

Bill Fitzpatrick says Boeheim wasn't speeding and said road conditions on 690 were icy when he hit and killed Jorge Jimenez.

Funeral For Jorge Jemenez To Be Held Thursday

The funeral for the man who died after being hit by an SUV driven by Coach Jim Boeheim is set for Thursday A. DeWitt Memorial Funeral Home is donating their services to the family of Jorge Jimenez Owner Jan Maloff said it will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. It will be open to the public.

Syracuse police are nearing the end of their investigation. Investigators say they are reasonably certain that driver distraction or impairment were factors in the crash. They expect to finish it next week. The results of the investigation will be turned over to Fitzpatrick's Office for a final review.
