West Monroe, N.Y. - State Police have identified the victim of a fatal accident in West Monroe Friday night.
77 year old Thomas Vedder of Bernards Bay was laying in the middle of the street on Route 37 when he was run over by a 16 year old.
The 16 year old was distracted by Vedder's Jeep Wrangler off the side of the road still running. The teen did not see Vedder in the road until it was too late.
The jeep was still running and in drive. Police still don't know why Vedder left the jeep and wound up laying in the road.
