Syracuse, N.Y. - A firefighter was hurt battling a blaze on Syracuse's Northside that severely damaged a house.
Crews were called to battle the flames on Taft Avenue last night. When they arrived, the front of the residence was engulfed in fire. It took them about 40 minutes to put the fire out.
Fire investigators say the fire started on the first level but haven't determined a cause. The extent of the firefighter's injuries is unclear.
