Cicero, N.Y. - A 15-year-old accused of stabbing another boy to death on New Years Eve is pleading not guilty to murder charges.
Onondaga County Sheriff Deputies say that Maurice Martin stabbed Zakariah Ibrahim after they got into a fight. The 15-year-old died at the hospital. Deputies say that investigators have spoken to a third teen about what happened.
Martin has been arraigned on murder and weapons possession charges. He pleaded not guilty in Syracuse City Court.
Ibrahim is the second 15-year-old to be killed over the long holiday weekend. Janya Thomas was stabbed to death on Saturday by a 13-year-old boy on Pennsylvania Avenue in Syracuse.
