Absentee Ballot Counting Begins In Tenney, Brindisi Race

Absentee Ballot counting begins today in the Congressional Race between Claudia Tenney and Anthony Brindisi.

Election Officials and campaign lawyers will open up ballots in Madison, Oswego, and three other counties in the district today. Three other county Boards of Elections will start counting later this week.

A State Supreme Court Judge has signed off on the plan to count up all the votes. The process is unlikely to yield a winner until after Thanksgiving.

The ballots must be under lock and key with two locks. Representatives from both campaigns need to be present as each one of the counties counts the ballots. If either side objects to a ballot, it will be held for a court to review.
