The battle to represent CNY in Congress is headed to Court today.
Campaign representatives and lawyers for Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and her Democratic Party Challenger, State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, will be in State Supreme Courtroom today.
They will be joined by elections commissioners for the eight counties in the district to get instructions about how to deal with the ballots moving forward. The process was made more difficult this weekend when Brindisi's team filed a court order requesting officials impound the ballots.
Brindisi leads Tenney by less than 1,300 votes. More than 17,000 absentee ballots were sent out in the district. Those ballots must be received by mail to county Boards of Election by the end of the day today to be counted.
