Syracuse, N.Y. - Ryan McMahon is officially the new Onondaga County Executive.
He was sworn in yesterday during a brief ceremony. A larger and more formal event is set for Sunday.
McMahon is the fourth person to be the Onondaga County Executive. He replaces Joanie Mahoney, who left to take a job with SUNY.
McMahon will have to run for the office next November if he wants to keep the position.
