Albany, N.Y. - State regulators are giving Spectrum more time to leave the State.
The State Public Service Commission is giving Spectrum an extra 45-days to submit an exit plan or petition the commission's July order kicking them out of the state. This means that if Spectrum wants to stay they will need to formally ask around Thanksgiving. If they don't do that they will need to file a six-month exit plan by Christmas Eve.
Spectrum and the State are clashing over the pace that they cable and internet provider has been rolling out broadband internet to more sparsely populated areas of the state.
