Clarence Jordan Calling Hours To Be Held Wednesday

Syracuse, N.Y. - The wake and funeral for Clarence Jordan will be held Wednesday.

Jordan died Saturday after serving poor children and the homeless for five decades. He was 88-years-old.

Jordan raised more than 100 million dollars to help those in need and was the head of the Rescue Mission for 38-years.

Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Abundant Life Christian Center, 7000 All National Blvd, East Syracuse. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the church. 

Rescue Mission Breaks Ground On 5.8 Million Dollar Renovation

The Rescue Mission Alliance broke ground Wednesday on a $5.8 million capital project to renovate and expand the Clarence L. Jordan Food Service and Culinary Education Center. “Believe: a Warm Meal and a Way Home” is a two-phase capital campaign on the Mission’s 8.5-acre campus in Syracuse.
