Mayor Miner Makes Progress In Independent Run For Governor

New York - Syracuse's former mayor is trying to make sure she's on the ballot for the governor's race this fall.

Stephanie Miner has given the State Board of Elections nearly 41,000, far above the 15,000 required to appear on the ballot as an independent.  Miner says she was able to find supporters in nearly every congressional district in New York.

The former two-term Syracuse mayor only launched her bid for governor in June.

Former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner talked with Dave Allen this morning on NewsRadio 570 WSYR; Now on 106.9 FM. She says that she expects her ballot petitions to be heavily scrutinized and is confident she will have plenty to be on the November ballot.
