Cuomo Wipes $20 Million Debt Owed By North Syracuse

North Syracuse, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo has signed a bill forgiving the North Syracuse Central School District of a $20 million penalty.

The district was facing the penalty by the State Education Department after previous administrations failed to file final cost reports on time for six construction projects between 1996 and 2010.

NYS Senate Relief Pending For CNY School District

A bill passed by the State Senate could grant relief from the penalty slapped against a CNY school district.The North Syracuse Central School District is facing a $20 million penalty for missing deadlines to file paper work from 1996 to 2010.
