Michael Rotondo Was Almost Tossed In Jail

Syracuse, N.Y. - Michael Rotondo remains a free man. Barely.

The 31-year-old  man evicted in May from his parents' Camillus home was almost tossed in jail by a Family Court Judge.

It was over Rotondo refusing to sign paperwork related to him being put on probation for not paying child support for his 8-year-old son.

Rotondo is expected to pay $55 each week in child support and hasn't paid since March. He had been delinquent but court collections got permission to take his tax refund and go into his bank account to cover the remaining several hundred dollars he owed.

Rotondo was in court to settle the matter of his not paying. The judge place Rotondo was on probation for the next year. He took issue with that and refused to sign the paperwork until the Family Court Judge threatened to throw him in jail for 30 days.
