Liverpool, N.Y. - The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance have arrested the owner of a tire store in Liverpool. 65 year old Joseph Pasatella of Pawnee Drive is accused of failing to pay over 57 thousand dollars in sales tax.
The charges state Pasatella under reported sales made between March 2013 and August 2017 at his business, Liverpool Tire, Inc. at 312 Oswego Street.
He was charged with multiple felonies:
- Grand Larceny in the 2nd Degree
- 14 counts of Criminal Tax Fraud in the 3rd Degree
- 4 counts of Criminal Tax Fraud in the 4th Degree.
If convicted, Pasatella could face up to 15 years in prison.
