The latest numbers from Quinnipiac University show he's leading Democratic challenger Cynthia Nixon by 36 points ahead of the September primary. When put head to head against Republican candidate Marc Molinaro, Cuomo has a sizable lead. Experts say one reason for the large gaps could be that Nixon and Molinaro are relatively unknown to most New York voters.
