On Monday July 16th, 2018 at approximately 12:10 AM, Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Wood Avenue in regards to a shooting call. Upon arrival, Officers met with a 21 year old male, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of his neck. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance for treatment. The wound was described as a “graze” type injury, and is not considered to be life threatening.
Officers did locate shell casings in the area, but, the victim was not cooperative with investigating Officers. There is no suspect information at this time.
