12 Year Old Syracuse Boy Arrested For Armed Robbery

On July 10 around midnight Syracuse Police got a call about an armed robbery at the  Ze Mart at 2030 S. Salina Street. 

The victim reported two males approached him as he was working the cash register.  One of the males pulled out a large handgun and pointed it at the victim.  They then demanded money from the register.  The second suspect came behind the counter with a plastic bag, telling the victim to give them the money.  The victim put the money from the cash register into the bag.  The suspect with the gun, then grabbed the bag and ran out of the store.  When the second suspect left the store, an employee chased after him and a Police Officer took the suspect into custody in the 100 block of McKinley Ave. 

The suspect who was taken into custody was a 12 year old male. He was arrested and charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Petit Larceny.  He was released to a family member on a Juvenile Appearance Ticket. 

Police are still looking for the other suspect involved. He is described as a young black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
